Privacy Policy — Airtable AI Formula Builder

Airtable AI Formula Builder ("we", "our", or "the Extension") helps users generate Airtable formulas from plain-language prompts. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension accesses, how that information is used, and your choices.

Data We Collect

• Extension state (local): usage count, unlock status, and license key (if provided). Stored in chrome.storage.sync.
• User-provided prompts: The natural-language text you enter to produce a formula. These prompts are sent to the AI service (OpenRouter) for processing.
• API interactions: Requests to OpenRouter (AI) and Gumroad (license verification). We do not store payment information; payments are handled by Gumroad.

What We Do Not Collect

• Personal identifiers such as name, address, phone number (unless you voluntarily provide them via support email).
• Authentication credentials, credit card numbers, or payment details (we use Gumroad for payments).
• Health, location, web browsing history, or private messages.

How We Use Data

• Send the prompt to OpenRouter (AI model) to generate an Airtable formula and return the response to your browser.
• Verify license keys via Gumroad API when you paste a license key into the extension.
• Store simple state in chrome.storage.sync so the extension can remember trial/use/unlock status across sessions.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenRouter — processes prompts and returns generated formulas.
• Gumroad — handles purchases and license verification. No payment data is processed or stored by the extension.

Data Sharing & Transfers

We do not sell or transfer personal data to third parties for advertising or other unrelated purposes. We only send prompts to OpenRouter and license keys to Gumroad as required for functionality.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and limit storage to minimal data necessary for functionality. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Retention

Local state (usage count, unlock status, license key) is stored until you uninstall the extension or clear browser storage. We do not retain prompts long-term in the extension itself. Any logs or telemetry (if added later) will be disclosed in an update to this policy.

Your Rights & Choices

• You can uninstall the extension at any time to remove local data.
• If you provide an email or contact us, you can request access to or deletion of any information you provided directly.

Children

The Extension is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when changes were last made. Significant changes will be posted here.
